NV RAID0 Performance HORRIBLE, Help!

Hey guys, I recently setup a RAID0 setup using 2x160GB WD PATA 160JBs I used PassMark to get these numbers:

Single drive:
Seq. read: 57.34MB/sec
Seq. write: 44.5MB/sec

Using the onboard NV RAID0 setup I get:

Seq read: 55.85MB/sec
Seq write: 25.44MB/sec !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't raid0 supposed to *nearly* double the speed of both read and write?

Someone please help! I've set it up right as far as i can tell. Windows sees it as one volume. When I run NVRAIDMAN it sees it as a striped volume. All drivers are installed right. My only question is, I'm also running a SATA RAD5 from the onboard Si Image set, but that shouldn't affect it.

HELP! Whats going on? Or is NV raid0 just horrible??

they are PATA drives, so no SATA controller.

and Raid0 should give noticable improvement on synthetics. Huge actually.

Even my RAID5 setup I go from 50MB/sec to 90MB on the reads.
