Has anyone ever gone on this diet? I've been trying to lose about 20 pounds or so, I believe an already portioned diet might work in helping me reach that goal. I've been already doing 5 mile runs and such, but I'm still overweight.

So, how does it taste etc..

From what i hear the portions are relatively small and the food is expensive.

But if you stick to eating ONLY the food you order through nutrisystem, you will lose weight.

It's like $800 a month. Just buy some Lean Cuisine meals on sale for $2.50 a piece and save yourself about $600 a month.

My brother tried the "Nutrisystem for Guys" plan for a month when they had a promo for a week of extra food free. He said:

- the free food was mostly stuff no one wanted, "closeout" chow.
- the rest of the food was OK more or less but didn't seem that healthy. It also gave him insomnia, maybe from additives like caffeine?

He didn't continue after the first month.

I must be thinking of a different plan. The one I was reading about was around $200 a week.

It looks like Nutrisystem is about $300 a month.

I did a lot of google searching about this and the general consensus on this is that the food sucks.

The diet does really work, if you can stand the food. From what I have read, the food taste like chemical soaked cardboard and really sodium laden. I have read where a LOT of ppl could not stomach the taste of the food and have to get off the diet, even though they were losing weight.

Weight Watchers works. Have you tried that? You dont have to buy their food, but their plans and ideas absolutely do work.

I'm fine with food. I'm the type of guy who can enjoy airline food, no matter how crappy it is.

And no, I'll have to look at Weight Watchers.

I am not an eater. I gained a huge amount of weight by living in starvation mode for over a decade. I would have nothing all day except a 64oz cup of coffee and a half pack of Marlboro. About 8PM, I would grab anything handy. I did not pay attention to fat, calories or fiber or anything like that, I just ate ... whatever.

I joined Weight Watcher and then a gym. In three months, I lost 20 pounds, 10.5 inches and 3 jeans sizes.

Weight Watchers works. It is a smart plan. If you join without commitment and hang out long enough to get the books and info.. then save your money and do it yourself.

If you want more info, PM me, I'll be glad to help you out.

I did it, food sucks, lost 15 lbs in 1-2 months. Still have half the crappy food left. Lost another 15 lbs doing intense cardio at the gym everyday and portion control. I eat less now because my stomach shrank. Key is to not eat more than they tell you...and trust me YOU WILL BE HUNGRY EVERY DAY.
