I don't think many nuns still wear those black outfits. I've seen nuns dressed in normal clothes.

I was taught by Nuns at Primary school.

I was taught by nuns in grade school, and in high school. In grade school they wore their black habbits...in high school they were more "modern" and wore normal clothes. I still see nuns here and there in church...

Most orders allow nuns the choice of whether to wear the habits or normal clothes. I spent 12 years in Catholic schools and saw a lot of nuns teaching. In my high school there had to have been at least 8 or 9 nuns on the faculty, only one wore the penguin suit.
