The Republican-controlled House Intelligence Committee asked U.S. spy agencies late last year to reveal the names of U.S. individuals or organizations contained in classified intelligence on Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election, engaging in the same practice that President Trump has accused the Obama administration of abusing, current and former officials said.

This whole thing has become comical. Nunes really needs to resign.

He won't resign.

This is his moment to steal from his voters and give to his donors all he can.

Seems like a non-issue to me so long as the reports stay classified. "Unmasking" will facilitate the committee's investigation rather than go through the delay of requesting unmasking each name individually. Remember this committee's investigation focus is national security, not potential criminal activity.

To me it's a nonpartisan issue, but I'm a bit surprised Nunes allowed it. Maybe he is realizing that dragging his feet on the investigation is now counter-productive to GOP interests, that the issue will not simply go away anymore.

This is purely a partisan republican thing, it's a fishing expedition like looking into the 3 million illegal voters . They are looking to trying to blame someone in the Obama administration for unmasking or some shit ?

I don't follow your post. I think the article is highlighting the hypocrisy of Devin Nunes and the GOP regarding the Unmasking issue.

Devin Nunes might be the one person in DC who is even dumber than Donald Trump. The fact that Republicans gave him chairmanship of the House Intelligence Committee is an embarrassment.

It's an intentional misdirection play, leading away from investigation into Russian meddling.

Did you notice how they managed to fold voter fraud into the whole thing? That's a surefire diversion.

An embarrassment and par for the course for republicans. Jim Inhofe is chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works and infamously brought a snowball in to the senate to "disprove" global warming, because it was cold in DC, in February...
