When I was a kid living in North Dakota we ran around in snowmobiles. Those things are fun!

When we got stuck we struggled to lift em ourselves and pull em out .... this was with 70s and 80s era smaller sleds .... they were heavy .... around 300-400 pounds the enticers and the gp440, but, 1 or 2 people were always able to unstuck them ....

That said, I did hurt my back when lifting an enticer out of a very tall snow bank ....

Of course now many of the sleds are much longer and wider and heavier and have reverse gears and such ....

Some practically have a car engine in them lol, pretty crazy how fast they can go too.

Oddly I've never really been into them myself, it's a lot of money to get into. If I had a huge property I'd probably consider it, no need to worry about trail pass, license, and all that crap. That's what's expensive.

We used to use them in Wisconsin at my grandmothers house. It's on a large frozen bay, and there's access to all the trails from the bay ....
In Wisconsin, trail passes/registration are quite affordable, or at least used to be back a long time ago .... haven't been on one in a number of years ... but If I ever move to a house with a garage I will get myself one, and one for me woman (and if woman doesn't want to ride, my bro, cousin, bro in law, uncle, or aunt will want to ride)
