personally, I could see myself eating like 4-5, so I'd estimate like 10 for an average person?

For an appetizer? 5. For a meal? Normal would be 10, maybe 15. High would be 20-25. This is a guy's estimate. I know I *can* do 25 if I want, but I'm pretty fine with 10-15 myself.

I'll get 10 for a meal with a side of celery or fries from places around here.

I think that's about 1.5lbs IIRC.

Unless you're feeding Joey Chestnut, I'd say 8 per person is a good average. Women may eat a few less, men may eat a few more, but 8 should keep everyone satisfied.

Wings are more of an appetizer anyway, you don't want to gorge your guests on just wings. I'm sure you can come up with other side orders that can fill in the void for those that crave more.

10-15 for a meal.
62 is my record. I could have eaten a few more if I didn't switch to the hottest wings they had.

It depend on the size of the wings. I get the family sized Perdue packs (wings and drums). As a rule each pack serves two people. I get two for four and there is usually some left, but not much.

Wings used to be my favorite food. One night I was eating a pile of wings drenched in tobasco and was suddenly disgusted by them.

I can barely stomach them now...

Me, my brother, and a girl who isn't shy about eating BBQ once put down 100 wings.

If its an appetizer, I usually eat 5, if its a meal, usually around 15-20. If drinking is involved, as EngenZero said, throw every estimate out the window and go by time. If its quick eating and drinking (less than an hour) then probably about 20 a person. If its something thats goign to be for many many hours and there's drinking involved then it could be as many as 40-50 a head for them all to be totally happy.

Obviously your budget should play a part of this. I was always fortunate to live in an area that gave great discounts for bulk and ordering ahead of time. The place would do 100 wings for 3 cents a wing. Good stuff too!
