I searched and couldn't find anything that addresses this problem, I hope someone can help. I just updated to Windows XP and now everytime I logon the number lock key needs to be turned on again. It seems to be automatically turning off at some point. Has anyone dealt with this?

TIA -- Kim

What board do you have? Have you changed anything in the BIOS? I have the numlock option turned on in the BIOS. Never had a problem with XP turning it off.

If the numlock is set when you turn off the computer in xp then it'll be there the next time you power up. If it's not set in the logon screen, set it, then turn off the computer. Do not log in. Just click the turn off computer button.

Next time you power on and get to the logon screen it'll be set. Well it should be.

I had not changed anything with the bios. Clicking on the "turn computer off" button worked. Thanks for your help.
