Number, Caps and Scroll Lock lights flash?

Hi,

At first I thought I was crazy, but I saw the number, caps and scroll lock lights flash for no reason. When I eman flash they don't go on and off for hours, just one quick flash.

Every so often out of the corner of my eyes I would see them flash and the once on num lock key would turn off, any clues on what is causing this? I can turn the num lock back on a little while later it's off.

This April my Dell will be 2 years old, the keyboard on the other hand is at least 9 years old, but it's my favorite.

There's a chance that it could be a virus. Those lights are controllable (indirectly) via software as well.
