Is this correct? I've seen several variations of it. I'm trying to make my own ghetto PDA serial sync cable to GPS serial sync adapter. Radio Shack was closed when I went to go buy it.
 
wow, it worked! I read around and just swapped tx with rx and made ground to ground. Saved 5 bucks 😀

yeah, I should have posted in hardware...
 
heh...I remember a former co-worker and I tried to make a SCSI cable. Well, he was mostly doing it as I was letting him have his first go at it.

Boot the PC up and drives are recognized and then we start smelling smoke...I yank the power cord out of the wall and we open the case and the cable was melted and burnt in a few places.   😉
