Changed MB, CPU and HD now I have to activate but...there is no place to click on to activate Windows. Even went to the microsoft site to 'validate' but is gives me an error and says not enough information to determine.

Yes, it IS a valid OEM original of Win XP Prof.

tahnks !

If you changed the mobo, and you had an OEM version installed on the old mobo, your supposed to buy a new Windows license, legally/officially according to MS that is.

Did you reinstall XP onto the new HDD or copy the drive over with Ghost or a drive copy program?

Just call the microsoft activation number and tell them that you changed your cpu and that you cannot activate online at the moment. They'll ask for your key and then will give you the activation key in return.
Don't need to explain anything else

Thanks ! You were all right. I called MS and they set me up. Didn't need a new license, just needed rectivation as long as it is still me and one CPU.
