This is bizarre. FWIW, yes, as of now, there is non-sexual nudity in the short news clip. Personally I see nothing wrong with it, but I'm a bit surprised to see it there, given the hysterics nudity usually causes in the US. If this group pulled this over here, they'd probably all be hauled to the slammer.

Actually, they are doing it here in the US today. There's actually a large number of cities doing it today (including my own). From what I've heard, though, most people end up just getting citations for public nudity (that is, if the police can even catch up to them).
