Not only does the game take place in Russia, but it's being made by Russian developers as well. Best Way (Men of War, Faces of War, Soliders of War, etc, etc) and 1C Company have teamed up to create it. Nuclear Union (the english title of the game) looks to have an atmosphere heavily inspired by STALKER.

Because it's Russian made, it very likely won't have the budget of say, an AAA title made by EA or Bethesda. I have a soft-spot for B-grade budget Russian games though. This will very likely be a day-1 purchase for me.

Debut trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-Dj-EeeZOg

While the video doesn't show any gameplay, it's supposedly third-person and uses a party system. It uses the same engine used in Men of War, so I'm crossing my fingers that there will be destructible environments (but maybe that's just wishful thinking).

Looks good, I dig Russian games, they do a great job on their environments and make everything feel like it is truly run down. Sure their games are rough around the edges normally but otherwise they are usually great overall imo

Agreed. 1C have had some of the best series coming from there and one of my top 10 series (Star Wolves) was Russian, from 1C and as buggy as hell but just sheer genius incarnate if you had the patience.

Their FAQ is a bit vague right now on what combat will consist of, but I'm hoping it's not a third person shooter. If it uses the RTS strengths of the engine, I'll be pretty excited to see where this game heads.

1C won't get back into my good graces until they fix the atrocious King's Bounty: Warriors of the North.

Anyway I'll bite on this if it is fun even if it is buggy and yes King's bounty warror of the north suck. To be honest I think they tried to make it too big.

This looks interesting... ever since I tried FO3 I like these types of settings.
