One of the plastic nubs on the socket (the two that hold the HSF on to the mobo) broke! Does anyone have product info for a fan that uses the two other nubs (Asus A7V has three nubs on each side of socket - one in center and one one each side of that) or mounts to the four holes through the mobo? I have a temp fix with some wire, but I am overheating so I had to underclock my cpu :( to 1 gig.

Any suggestions, ideas, or experiances?

BTW - Do they really have to fit so tight? I have never had one break before, but they are getting to be ridiculous!

my chrome orb uses one tab on one side and two on the other side so you could mount one of these on backwards, but i really don't know if the heatsink would still contact the cpus core due to the off-centered position of the chip in the socket...

other than that, maybe you could get a hold of some thermal epoxy (no, not thermal paste) and permamently glue the heatsink to the cpu...hey, it would work for now, right? :)

The Taisol HSFs use all three prongs. CGK742 or 760 line will do what you want.

Thanks for the update! I bought an original TAISOL w/copper and it only had the single clip. I just ordered the tri-clip! Problem Solved :D
