Nu and Sony LCD's?

One of my monitors is dying quickly after 6 years of service and I'd like to replace it with a 17" LCD for about $300. I like the Samsungs, but they're closer to $400.

The NU QL-711V 17" has good (biased) reviews and specs on Newegg for $270. I also noticed the SONY SDM-S73/B 17" for $310.

Are either of those bad? Any other ~$300, 17" LCD recommendations?
 
I'd also recommend BenQ as a solid LCD display company, as well as LG.
