This is what nTune release note said:

Version 5.05.25.00
1. Fixed issue in which 64bit support for Microsoft Windows XP and Windows
Vista was disabled.

every time i tried to install; the setup will always try to install in the 32-bit mode (speculation from Program File(x86)). So nTune doesn't work...I cannot even adjust the card fan...

Does anyone get it to work?

nTune sucks when it comes to the Vista version. I'd guess that they wont be much updates for it

ntune in xp let's me overclock to GTX speeds easily.

Ntune in VISTA doesn't even let me overclock 1 single mhz. all self tests fails. These nvidia vista drivers better get good quick. the last direvers they release sucked. i had to roll back just to not get crashes.

I found a link to forum that would solve the issue (or maybe not): http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=30014

It's true the installer didn't install the ntune correctly that is why ntune is not working.
I wonder if nVidia has QA team to test (or at least try to install it) the software before release? A one man QA team would have caught the installer problem.

ntune in vista 64 doesn't even work for me. The control panel fails to open. The only part of ntune that works is the monitor but it only monitors one thing correctly and everything else reads 0.

If you look at the desktop shortcut; it looks for executable file: nvcplui.exe (spelling?) in the c:\windows\sysWOW64; the executable is not there. Also the error "request server" stuff is because ntune installer didn't place the visual c++ dlls in the right place.
