NTLDR missing...?

TempusIrae

Senior member
When I format a floppy under Windows 2000 and copy the basic DOS files to make the disk bootable, I get an "NTLDR is missing" error. However, if I do the same procedure under Windows 9X and use that disk in my Windows 2000 machine, it works fine. Anyonw know how to create a boot disk under Windows 2000 for BIOS updates etc?

Thank You

You cannot create the kind of bootdisk you want to create under Windows 2000 or Windows NT. Windows 9x has a DOS base and can do it. I would suggest that you go to Bootdisk.com and grab the DOS 6.22 boot disk maker and use that for BIOS updates..Regards
