Im going explain what im trying to do really quick. Right now i have WindowsXP Home installed on a 80gb harddrive. Also i current have a blank 30gb harddrive which im trying to install another OS on. I turn off my computer, unplug the 80gb which i have the XP Home on and plug in the 30gb harddrive. I start up my computer, get the bios beep, then i get a message saying " NTLDR is missing Press ctrl+alt+del to restart" The file system for the 30gb harddrive is NTFS. Im not sure how to fix this problem. Please help?

The file it wants is on the 80GB drive. Unplug the 80GB drive, install the desired OS on the 30GB drive, and then opt between them using your BIOS's boot-device priority list. Some brands of motherboards also allow you to hit a key to select the desired boot device off a little list without going into the BIOS... recent Asus boards, try the F8 key when you see the POST screen, for example.

Yet, need to set your mobo to boot off the CD drive before the hard drive so you can install the new OS.
