DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHATS GOING ON?

May seem silly, but make sure there's no floppy in the floppy drive. You'll get this error if you try to boot from a floppy that has no boot sectors on it.

I get 2 phone calls about this error every month from clients.

i have 3 different cd's that i used...and i have tried 4 cdroms...including a brand new one i went and bought today, just to make sure that wasnt the case...im really stumped on this, i have tried everything possible it seems like...the only thing i havent tried is my processor.. could i have gotte a bad processor? how can i check?

If you are using a via or sis chipset, they sometimes have very weird memory controller problems. Run memtest86 to see if your memory/controller are ok.

Will it boot up normally without using the CD boot as the first option? In other words, is it just when trying to boot from CD that you get this error, vs. booting from the hard drive?
