NTLDR is missing ... Need to make a boot disk for 98!

I recently bought a used computer. When I try to boot from the XP cd, it gives me the error "NTLDR is missing" ... turns out I need to boot from a Win98/ME/2000 boot disk, and then change the file structure. (I googled it :D) Welp, I only have XP, and have no way of making a boot CD. Floppy is out of the question, since neither system has one. Is there any way for me to download and burn a boot cd for and older OS? Another way around this?

Any help is appreciated! :)

thanks!

Well it does relate to hardware to some degree. Without software, what good would the hardware be? ;)

whoa whoa... i dont think you need a bootdisk.. i think you need to go into your bios and enable the boot from cd function whether it be in the lineup or not i dont know... but change it to that and put your xp disk in there and let it rip. you dont need a boot disk.

Boot from a win98 cd with cd support, then swap the cd out & put your XP cd in.

then go to folder i386 & type " Winnt " , this should start the xp setup process.
