I'm in the process of building up a new system. Is there a site that briefly discusses the pros and cons of each of the file systems above? I've been told by a few of my networking friends that NTFS is stable and more secure than FAT32. However, if I want greater compatibility especially with older programs, FAT32 is the way to go. This new system that I am building is for my home personal use. I'll be using it mainly with MS Office, internet surfing and games (many pre 2000). Has anyone used NTFS and installed older games (example: Doom, MS arcade games) without any problems?
