Okay...one of my hard drives failed, and sometime while I was praying it would work, I tried to get into the recovery console from Windows XP setup. I got an error that said there was something wrong with NTFS.sys (STOP: 0x00000024). Thinking this was just the bad drive, I removed it and tried to boot up... When the computer would normally boot windows (after the post and stuff), it would just reboot. I went back into WinXP setup to go to the recovery console, and I got the same error.
Now, whenever I try to reinstall or go to the recovery console I get the 0x24 error. I've run the IBM Fitness Test, and everything's fine. I think it's the MBR. Is there any way to recover that without using the recovery console (3rd party boot disks, etc)? I could delete the whole boot sector with IBM's Fitness Test, but I really don't want to do that, since that'll delete all the partitions and stuff (I think...).
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
