NTFS Partition Refuses to Copy

I just set up my XP installationa nd got everything the way that I like it. I have been trying to backup (copy) the partition to other partitions on the same disc (ATA) and on other discs (SATA). I have also tried multiple utilites (MaxBlast and Seagate's DiscWizard). No matter how I do it, the copy always crashes at 96%, I tried running scandisk on the partition and defragging it. So far, nothing has worked.

This has worked for me several times in the past.

Any ideas?
