My friend needs help. He was running Windows 2000 Pro. and bought XP. His disk was partitioned into C and D (for data). He used PowerQuest's PartitionMagic to create a new partition, E, and ran XP setup by booting up from the CD. It complained about some errors found in the new partition and some confusion later and XP is now installed into the new partition.
However, he can no longer boot into Win2k. Under partition magic it does not appear as an NTFS partition anymore and instead appears as RAW. His other data partition is OK. What has happened and/or what can he do to resurrect the "lost" partition?
