Just started using WIN XP and thought I was using NTFS format (thought it was standard). When the system did a disk check it said files on C: were FAT32 format. What exactly is NTFS and how do you make your system use it? Is there any atvantage to using FAT32 over NTFS? I thought WIN XP could read both formats. Also what is a good book describing all the features in XP? Thanks.

Definitely use NTFS, more superior then FAT in every which way. People have said FAT is faster, but I wouldn?t put to much emphases to that assertion.

A good article to read is Windows .net Mag & Digit Life.
