NTFS harddisk on WXP: WHY are there no permissions under the properties of a folder?

I can't find that tab like I can normally. I wanna make a file read-able to EVERYONE, just that one file but I can't get it somehow. Fast help is appreciated :D

you need to turn off simple file sharing, then the security tab will be where you are looking for it

tools- folder options, view, look near the bottom, uncheck the box for SFS

it is on by default as a "security feature"

it disallows attachments (to shares) with the guest account unavailable by default, hence, more secure
