I get NTFS blue screens of death too often. It will almost always crash with this error when I do large transfers. I'm not sure wtf is up with my computer...some of the errors I always seem to get:

Driver IRQ Less Than Equal
NTFS.sym
PageFaultInNonPagedArea

Not word for word of course since it goes too fast to jot down. The NTFS is by far the most frequent. Anyone have any idea what's up with this? My system config:

Athlon Thunderbird 1.2
Abit KT7A
Geforce 3
SB live Value
Chaintech AV710
Dlink 530TX network card
256MB PC133 ram
ATA controller card
WD 120GB 8MB cache

I've been using it for around 3 years now (I think)...a lot. Thanks.

Check your system event logs.

Look for event ids 9,11,26 (non print related), 50, 51, 55

Edit: also go into your system properties and tell it not to reboot after a crash so you can get the full error.

How do I check my system event log? Also how do I make it so it won't reboot? *coughs* yes I'm on the noobish side. Oh and I probably should have said, I use Xp Pro Sp1.

right click my computer > click manage and you should see event viewer

right click my computer > properties > advance > click settings under startup & recovery > uncheck automatically restart

The only number that's in the event viewer that you listed is 26. I still haven't gotten but one of the errors I listed today. Strange considering I have been on for 12 hours now. I did get a Win32k.sys BSOD though...so what I should jot down the stop number? Some things I'm thinking are a bad driver, bad ram or the video card. I should note that the video card is not working as it should. I'm think it causes the monitor(i've tried 2 other crts one brand new samsung 997 and the viewsonc a90f+_) to flicker and it stutters in games sometimes. I'm not sure that would cause my system to become unstable though.

What specifically was the 26. They are popups. Many are harmless (print notification). Ones that indicate memory XYZ could not be read are bad.

Tell ya what. Download and run this utility. it will produce a .CAB file when it is complete. Take that file and email it to me. Also zip up the contents of your windows\minidump folder and email that.

I don't have an FTP going right now so I can't look at a kernel or full dump. I'll do what I can, but no promises.

I'll PM you my email address.
