I believe the 2gb limit is a limitation of FAT32, NTFS can handle files > 2gb

You're dealing with a filesystem limitation not an OS limitation, NTFS will handle files >2G on any version of NT.

I believe NTFS 4 and 5 will both handle files up to ~16 petabytes in size.

In theory, just like FAT32 supports 32TB partitions. MS says it's possible but has never really tested it.

I saw someone working with a 8 exabyte on Linux using XFS, but never heard about anything close to that on NT.
