ok i made a new group to manage with the policy editor on a NT Server box. I have everything just about locked down, the main ones are "hide network neighborhood" and "Hide system drives"

the fricken policy will not load when my test user logins in. The user is a member of this group, and the policy is made for this group.

anybody have any ideas? i checked my BDC and it looks like it replicated over the time on the file matches the time on the PDC.

im stumped why wont this policy load. I hate dealing with policy editor its is so damn flaky.

It's not flaky, it's just picky. With W2K if the workstation has an incorrect DNS value the group policies won't work. DNS isn't the backbone of an NT 4.0 network but there are other small details that are easily overlooked that can cause this.
