after bios check I get that message NTLDR missing press any key .. then nothing happens !!
I know it's one of the start up files ... I am not as familiar with NT as I am win 98 .. so not sure what to do here .. I don't even have a boot disk !! but I have access to another NT machine ...

no no no .. there is no floppy in the drive ...
the PC froze and I had to hit reset .. that might have damaged the file .. I am at work now ..it's NT 4

Hmmm. You say this was after a BIOS update? I would be curious to see if that drive would boot in another machine as the master. That way you could rule out the hardware.

Err... I think he meant after the RAM counts up and the IDE devices are initialized...heh

Yes .. that's what I meant ... after the BIOS initialization, not update ... ahhh I just called IS and they fixed it ...
Thank you all ... at least now I have Boot disks and repair disks in case it happens again ...
