You should be able to delete the vid card and reboot, then log back on and selct a new one, no? I know I have another profile setup on my PC for VGA settings..if I mess the PCI vid card, I log on with VGA profile and change the settings in PCI profile (does that make sense?)

Just go to the Matrox site and download the driver for the G400. Install it and your problems should be solved.

It's under the "Video" section, in control panel..You will have to start up in VGA mode to be able to change it.

in windows NT when i go to the video it will only allow me the change the adapter it wont let me delete the adapter so that it will find the card on reboot. no matter what matrox adapter i change it to it still comes up as standard vga

When your PC starts up, it comes up with an option menu to start in VGA mode. Choose that mode and then you should be able to change vid card etc
