Is there a converter that I can use to use analog speakers on a soundcard with a line level out connection?

The line-level out is already analog. Do you mean that the sound-card has RCA outputs but your speakers have a mini-jack plug? Or vice-versa? Or something else?

Sorry, this is a new area for me, but the analog connection from my speakers is working on CD players, but when I plugged it into my soundcard (ol' Ensoniq AudioPCI) I got nothing. FReinstalled the soundcard drivers just to be sure, nothing.

Are you sure you're using the correct connector on the back of the Ensoniq? Also, are you certain that the wave output isn't disabled in the
Windows mixer (or the comparable app if you're using a different operating systems), or that the wave device volume or overall mixer volume
isn't turned all the way down to zero?
