With almost 40.000 members, I am hoping one of you can help me. Five years ago I purchased three of the Network Security Systems Inc. (San Diego) IPS 1200 UPS's. Many reviews had rated these as the best UPS available; 1200 VA, six lead acid gel batteries etc. At the time they sold for over $1000 each. NSSI later became Deltec Power Systems -- a subsidiary of Exide -- and now Deltec is gone as well. One of my systems failed last week when a battery died. I am a very experienced technician and am pretty sure I could repair any problem -- what I need is a schematic. Does anyone have or know where to get a schematic? Sams doesn't cover these UPS's. I hate to let a super UPS go just because a component has died. Incidentally, I have done the usual troubleshooting -- no burned, discolored etc. components. The problem is not apparent from a careful visual inspection. A new set of ledacid gel cells -- fully charged in one of the other units -- makes no difference. I can't even initiate the self test routine. Any help would be much appreciated.
