And despite Obama and Diane Feinstein coming out in strong support of the NSA repeatably, it'll be all the Republicans fault.

You act like holding people accountable for the votes they placed to be some kind of vice, or an after thought. Appreciation for history shouldn't make you dismiss the present, right?

Republicans vote overwhelmingly to can NSA reforms. Thanks Obama! Damn, what happened to him not showing any leadership? Heh.

If the Dems happen to look better in any of this, it's probably due to the lack of antics and embarrassments they've had compared to republicans. They negotiate by taking hostages, hold their dogma above the country's wellbeing, and waste taxpayers money and time by conducting partisan witchhunts, fabricating scandals, and making taxpayers pay for conducting doomed-to-fail votes that function as nothing more but internal party litmus tests.

Oh, and them being so wrong about, well, most everything. IIRC, the anti-Obama crowd swore it was the end when he won office. The crash of the stock market, the collapse of the dollar, rampant unemployment and crime, everything being dragged down by a healthcare plan that was doomed to fail, cats and dogs - living together!
And we know how those worked out...

Jhhnn is one of those unsufferable Democrats:

* Everything bad is the fault of Republicans
* Any good from Republicans must be a devious ploy
* Everything good is from the Democrats
* Any bad from the Democrats is either brilliant politicking or the best they can do in the face of evil Republican opposition

It's people like him that cause Democrats to be barely discernable from Republicans.

I'm pretty sure though that he's just a buggy piece of code that searches for buzz words and vomits forth the tabulated piece of proggie nonsense. Shame, at one time he could articulate a reasonably good argument. (As long as it was an issue on which the Republicans are completely wrong, of course, but it's not like there's any shortage of those.) Now he's just all sputtering foam and tangentially connected talking points.

Look for a post of mine in the "100%" thread. Obama adopted the Republican perspective and we can use established behavior of Republicans against him and the Republicans.

It's partisan mentality, a common manifestation of a mind so conservative in thought that breaking out of the pattern of conformity dictated by his perceived party alphas is impossible.

A decade or so ago it became clear that the main reason for the invasion of Iraq, WMDs, was untrue. Whether due to deception or incompetence we found ourselves in a war based on something not true. I thought to myself that if I were a Republican I'd be hopping mad to have been used. Instead they closed ranks and found ways to justify or excuse. That behavior is common to the partisan animal which is unimaginative and follows a social hierarchy. They become submissive and yield to the alphas and defend them. They are packs of wolves.

Sadly, deception and incompetence are what we expect in our politicians.
