All religious dogma should be accepted as fact. I mean there it is in black and white, right??

I'm glad my two places of residence are in MA and CA where people are normal when it comes to myths and religious dogma.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Clause 3: The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

Jacob,

Let's not go quoting actual facts and constitutional writings now. Better to introduce hyperbole, conjecture, and hearsay into the argument.

Expand on your Reasoning for this?

I take it to mean that no one should be rejected simply because they belong to Religion X. However, what if that Person has a Record of interjecting his/her Religious views upon Others from his/her position of Power?

Whose reasoning?

I certainly did no reasoning in the creation of the sentences I quoted.

Perhaps I could have asked better.

Why did you post it? There's obviously some Reasoning behind your post, so spit it out. ;)

Most people can post quotes and what not until the cows come home, but it's usually there Interprtations/Opinions on what they Posted that is the real heart of the matter.

It's not really that important but I thought I'd mention that "This American Life" is a PRI show, not NPR. It just happens to air on a lot of NPR member stations.

It's a really good show IMO.

I posted it for educational purposes...mainly because they are the relevant excerpts concerning seperation of church and state in the constitution and I have a feeling most people don't have them memorized...
