Now's your chance: Corvette ZR1 with 0% financing

In San Diago? Did you put down a million or something? 😀

Nope, I bought before the market went batshit insane. 😛 We paid $220,000 for our house and put 20% down. I still have tons of equity in it even in this down market...which is a good thing as I'm unemployed at the moment. 🙁

Nice...I'm jealous. I'd love to own some decent property in San Diego at that buy in price. Not going to happen these days...or anywhere else desirable in CA.

Are you actively looking or taking a "sabbatical"?

Yeah, I'm looking. Had an interview last week that I thought went well but not well enough I guess.

Oh well, the search continues.

Good luck. On a completely unrelated note, and to derail this thread even further, someone in the same building that my corporate apartment is in just bought a bright yellowish Lotus Elise. I have no idea how I would fit in that thing at 6'5". Standing next to hit, I felt like I could fold it over once and fit it in the trunk of our car.

I'm 6'4" and can fit in a Vette. Barely. But comfortable enough to drive it.

Wouldn't do for me to have a winning lottery ticket right about now...I'd have a ZR1, soon.

I saw an Elise driving down the road. So naturally, I had to look inside. It was a 65+ year old lady. Fking awesome.

Oh, I can certainly fit in a Corvette...heck...I have no problem fitting in the current generation MX-5...but the Elise...that thing is tiny. I'm pretty sure I'd throw out my back just trying to get in there.

When I rented one a couple years ago I drove up to visit a good friend in Seal Beach and we took it out to breakfast. He is 6'5" and other than practically folding himself in half trying to get in and out of it, which was hilarious BTW, he had plenty of headroom and legroom.

Thread officially hijacked. 😉

I'm pretty sure you can make anything happen with a pry bar and some grease :awe:

There's a lady that autocrosses with the group I go with.. She's 65+ and drives an Elise SC. She's also one of the quicker people out there too! 😀

Need to win lotto so I can buy ZR1!

Further derail, I saw a black Lotus Exige (the hardtop version of Elise) driving around in my neighborhood. That thing sits about 2 inches shorter than my bimmer except for the gigantic spoiler. I swear to god it sounded like it was powered by my lawnmower motor the way it sounded, lol.

That's the normal sound, not much can be expected for it. What a weird looking car, too.
