weird.... why would they want a scaly skinned foot as a model? I think it might be a female, because I think that is an anklet on the left ankle.

Sooo, you'd be wearing rubber gloves on your feet, and look significantly more foolish than simply being barefoot. But hey, people invent/sell stranger things than that :p

I randomly decided to walk barefoot around my college campus for a few days one summer. I don't remember why. The novelty wore off...

That looks like a pretty useless invention, and it would probably be uncomfortable having so much material between your toes. I could see separating the big toe, but not each one.

Wearing the Nilke free's feels pretty good.

I think having my toes separated like that would drive me crazy. They have to touch each other---they just have to.

I'd be tempted, but I don't see how they could assure decent foot protection on top of being able to properly fit the extreme diversity of foot shapes/sizes as well as the shapes and sizes of each individual toe...

I found my pair really great for canoeing and kayaking. The water just flows out of them, you don't end up with a wet foot all day if you step out in shallow water. They seemed to give better grip than traditional water shoes. A lot of times here on the Hudson the shore is all huge rocks instead of easy to land on beach, so staying sure footed is important.

I also wear them running. You can actually feel the surfaces you run on, it's neat. About the only surface that's too painful to run on with these for me is very coarse gravel. Running on nice soft dirt and grass feels really good, though.

I did wear them with toe socks once when it was really cold. Didn't help much, the socks got wet really quick since I intentionally run on soft muddy ground as much as possible (weak knee, so like soft ground).

Do you like to go around barefoot outside? Here's a "shoe" called Five Fingers that lets you keep that barefoot sensation yet protects your feet.

I'd like to try a pair on, but to wear them in public, I dunno.

And they probably are comfortable but the person wearing them doesn't have to look at them like innocent bystanders do...
