Now with the GTX1080ti out at $699, will we see price drops on GTX1050/ti/1060?

Just curious how much "trickle-down" there is going to be.

I noticed that Newegg's ebay site has an Asus dual-fan GTX 1050 OC for $112.99, only $3 more than the non-OC dual-fan version.

Is it likely we'll see GTX 1050 pushed down to $100 or below? (I personally think that they should be $80, but whatever, "NVidia Premium".)

Well if the gtx 1070 only got a $30 decrease I doubt those 2 will see much of a decrease until vega and if amd drops their versions, 480 and 470, then nvidia would probably follow.

Granted the $100 drop of the gtx 1080 was nice but it seems nvidia doesn't see much reason to decrease the prices of anything lower that much at this time.

I think actual retail prices of the 1070 might drop by more than $30. If it's priced too close to the 1080, the cards won't sell at all. The 1060 and 1050 might follow for the same reason (too close to the 1070).

The following article says it will just be a factory overclocked option (8 Gbps, stock --> 9 Gbps, OC memory):

P.S. I wonder if GTX 1050 Ti will eventually get an overclock option to 8 Gbps? (Current spec is 7 Gbps). Does it have enough memory bottleneck to benefit? EDIT: Doing some back of the Napkin Math, GTX 1050 Ti @ 8 Gbps would have similar core to bandwidth ratio as GTX 1060 @ 9 Gbps. Likewise, GTX 1050 Ti @ 7 Gbps has the similar core to bandwidth ratio as GTX 1060 @ 8 Gbps.

Nvidia should have totally done this, but they're idiots with product naming and kings of confusion. The faster 1060 should have got a small (even if very small) core clock bump, the faster 9gbps vram, and the 1060 TI name.

The 1080 with faster vram should have been called 1080 v2 or 1080+, but again, Nvidia is not intelligent with product naming.
