thunder storms i understand. it's heavy rain. it emphantizes "becareful."

but a thunder shower? these weather people are just trying to look important?

They've been saying that for 11ty years here. A thunder shower is a small thunderstorm.

people love weather drama. otherwise, their lives are boring and happy. death has become a necessary ingredient for mainstream media.

A shower being a short passing cloudburst. Thunder because...thunder will be involved.

I've heard this term for many years. It's nothing new, and it accurately describes a specific weather condition.
