All "cutting spending" means in reality is cutting government services for the majority of Americans, namely the poor and middle class. The rich don't care because they can afford to buy private security and private education for their kids. "Cutting spending" sounds good to intellectual lightweights though so they're duped into voting against their own best interests.

It depends on what you mean by "reality". There is so much waste in our govt it isnt even measurable. It's beyond ridiculous... But, point taken. In reality it isnt going to change no matter what.
