I've had the same experience (but I'm in Dallas, TX). Never ordered that late at night, but I'll receive things overnight from Outpost (via DHL) even though I paid for (or got for free) the ground shipping

I had an experience similiar to yours once. I ordered something around 11pm, and recieved it 10am the next day.
