It's an American movie the trailer is all in Russian so a synopsis of the movie is below...this is an R rated trailer so some scenes might be NSFW.

I don't think I have ever seen an "R" Rated trailer in the US.

Trailer

"Wanted" tells the tale of one apathetic nobody's transformation into an unparalleled enforcer of justice. In 2008, we're introduced to a hero for a new generation: 25 year old employed slacker, WESLEY GIBSON. Wes is the most disaffected, cube-dwelling, clock-punching drone this planet has ever known. His boss chews him out hourly, his girlfriend ignores him routinely, and his life plods on in interminable boredom and routine. Everyone knows this disengaged slacker will amount to absolutely nothing, and so does he, until he meets the sexy, foxy woman named FOX, and then everything changes. Wes' estranged father is murdered, and the deadly Fox recruits him into The Fraternity, a secret society that trains him to avenge his father's death, by unlocking his dormant powers. And oh boy does he have powers, as she teaches Wes how to develop his lightning-quick reflexes and phenomenal agility, he discovers that The Fraternity lives by an ancient, unbreakable code: to carry out the death orders given by emotionless Fate itself. Wes, with his wickedly brilliant and sexy tutor, plus the paternal guidance of The Fraternity's enigmatic leader, SLOAN, young Wes grows to enjoy all the strength and success he ever wanted. But, slowly, he realizes there's more to his dangerous associates than meets the casual eye. And, as he wavers between new found heroism and vengeance, Wes will come to learn what no one can ever teach him; that he alone controls his destiny.

I have seen R rated trailers in the U.S. I saw one at the last R rated movie I went to.

The movie looks like it ruined the premise of the comic it is based on. :(

i don't know, the trailers in English on youtube look just fine. the only thing missing that i can tell is the scene where his girlfriend hits him and when he does his girlfriend. the American audience is a bit more conservative so they took that part out i presume.

never heard of a 'red-band' trailer? These are trailers that have a red screen displaying viewable only by R-rated crowds or something. Every now and then IGN posts them, but I tend to only see them in theaters. Every now and then the movie studio will post one on the movie's website and require input of age.

I KNEW I recognized the lead male character! He was in the Sci-Fi mini-series Children of Dune. Ha, awesome.
Oh, and earlier in the year was an English trailer that showcased more of Angelina Jolie's character. But it wasn't that great of a trailer, didn't have nearly that much violence, but rather more stylized scenes showcasing Jolie. Didn't sell the movie that well. But damn, this trailer, while I knew not a single thing they were saying, completely sold it to me!

And multi-staged sniper bullet? Awesome :D

VERY positive early reviews. Could use a decent action flick. Indy blew. Last good one I saw was Shoot Em Up with Clive Owen. A hidden gem that one.

I liked Shoot 'Em Up quite a bit, but Wanted looks pretty dumb. We'll see though, I could use another decent action flick so I may just go anyway.

Shoot 'Em Up worked because it never took itself seriously. Wanted looks like its trying too hard, and wants to be taken beyond face value. I'll give it a chance at some point (Angeline spread out on the hood of a Viper shooting stuff, Morgan Freeman), but I'm skeptical that it'll be on of my favorites. It doesn't help that the guy reminds me of Zach Braff in some of the scenes. It'll probably have some crappy twist where Morgan Freeman ends up being the bad guy or something.

I was thinking that, but showtimes typically aren't set up so nicely :(. Wall-E is about an hour and a forty minutes long and Wanted is an hour and fifty minutes long. The one theater near me doesn't have any times that would work with that and the other doesn't have show times listed for Wall-E yet (only Wanted), so I can't tell.

i wasn't going to see this until i saw this trailer. i could use a good action-movie with r-rated violence that i don't have to think through.

sex and violence for the win.

Yeah, that "curve the bullet" shit is pretty lame, and once I head that, I was like, nope not going to see this movie. Lets not forget her whipping the viper around and he is scooped into the passenger seat. Um, yeah. right. There is suspension of disbelief, then there is total and utter bullshit.

I think this kind of goes back to what darkswordsman17 was saying above. Things like the bullet and car scenes would work in a movie like Shoot 'Em Up, which is almost satirical in its approach, but Wanted looks as if it is trying to actually be serious most of the time, so these over the top moments don't really work.
