This is huge!! I have read some of the reviews, and they all say about the same thing, that this combo seems to rawk! Does anyone here use this, and if so, what is your opinion of it?

i was ver impressed by the reviews but i cant justify $33 for NB cooling

If it means getting to 240 instead of 220MHz on an AMD system, I don't see why not; it's cheaper than water or exotic cooling...

Edit: As in bus speeds, not clock speeds. MHz is not a typo.

I'm pretty sure you could just take an old Pentium I heatsink and epoxy it to your northbridge and it would perform similarly.

if you read the reviews, you'll notice it increased bus speed by like 5 mhz

You could also epoxy one of these on your NB and then slap a 60mm fan on it. Similar performance for less $$.

No need to epoxy. That sink looks like an exact clone of the swiftech 370 heat sink except that the pins aren't as nice and the base is Al rather than copper. Anyways, you see those two mounting holes? Thats where the clips attach to the cooler. The distance between those two holes just happens to be the exact distance between the pin holes of a northbridge heatsink. In other words, you just pop that bad boy down and bolt it on with the already existing holes. Now here's the problem...its too big. On most motherboards, something will be in the way. So, you either have to relocate a capacitor (like I'm doing soon on my nf7s) or trim the sink down and use a smaller fan.

I have the swifty btw, and I've already eyed up this mod. Absolute overkill? Of course...
