This may be enough for me to finally cancel Prime...they make enough money already, it's a BS money grab IMHO. Would stop me from hitting the order button on a bunch of things I don't really need if I need to leave stuff in the cart for a bit to get to the $35 free shipping. Win-win.

Will use free trials to catch up on the few things I actually watch there.
The time before last that I cancelled 30 day Free Prime, the next times for a while that I put something in my cart they offered 1 week of Free Prime for $1.99. I took them up on that a couple times IIRC, remembering to cancel after 1 week. Then they stopped offering me that. Offers for Free Prime for 30 days started coming up after a while and I finally took them up on that in the middle of November 2023, because I was in an ordering mood due to my scheduling outpatient surgery. That worked out well!

If I start shopping Amazon again, I figure they may offer 1 week for $1.99 again. I've been checking stuff out there, but not biting, so don't know. Been ordering a LOT of stuff off ebay recently, mostly used music CDs.

Newsgroups ftw
Seriously? I used to do Newsgroups, a ton. They used to be awesome, some of them. Then they seemed to most all go to complete shit with scammers and OT posters of all kinds. I still check out one or two once in a while for software support, in particular my email client. That one seems fine and there's one or two people who really know their stuff and always answer my questions. Pretty awesome, really.
