True, although I think being black was a valid reason to vote for Obama. Were I black, I would be quite disturbed that we had never had a black President. (Being white I was only mildly disturbed.)
I understand where you are coming from, but keep in mind that black people have always been between 8% to 13% of the population since day 1 of the USA. Why should it be disturbing that all of the Presidents were white up until Obama...I mean ONLY 90% of the population was white afterall [before the 1970s atleast].
If 9 out of 10 Americans were Black and we had ALL White Presidents then that would be FD up [ie-South Africa] but that was never the case...I see nothing wrong with the Presidents being all white, it fit the demographics of the country.
Edit- let me add, that the percentage of the population matters alot. Everytime the argument is brought up that its so "weird and racist" we have only had white Presidents in the past...The population percentage is never mentioned at all. It makes perfect sense why that was when you realize that 9 tenths of the population was white in the past [until the 70s]. Discrimination played a role to, but even without discrimination it would be odd to see a minority running a country. It happens rarely in most countries on the planet.
