In a recent marketing campaign in Vancouver 3M sought a strong image for their security glass.

They modified a bus shelter and fitted their security glass and filled it with REAL BANKNOTES!!!

Many have tried to gain access with golf clubs and baseball bats but obviously the glass remains intact!

This is what you call having faith in your own product.
Got this in an email, take it for what it's worth.
If it's a repost, kiss my @ss. :)

gotta be security cameras on that. otherwise someone would have already stolen that much money. either that or they put a lot of filler rags to make it look like lots of money.

Wouldnt be that hard to get inside that...

There is always a weak link, and I'm sure the bus shelter frame would be it... and the damage done to a car could easilly be paid for with the money inside that glass... :)

A "borrowed" frontend loader from the local construction site will work nicely.

From here, some says that is only 500 dollars worth of 20s.

Very true... and since ever CAT machine uses the exact same key... it shouldnt be hard to find a loader without a need to hotwire it... :)

I've seen that picture quite a few times before but never knew what it was really for.

on of those bundels probably has about 50 bills in it if not more. That sure looks like more than 25 bills.

Edit:

aww they said it was fake

From that site:
how to crack it

the glass might be hard to break indeed, but what about the following attempt to break the window frame? (caution: don't smoke or light fire during the preparation):

1. drill a tiny hole into one window (within the top 2% of the glass's height). drilling the glass (using a diamond drill) should work, only breaking is difficult, usually.
2. drill another tiny hole into the same window (a couple of centimeters above the bank notes)
3. infloat h2 (hydrogen) gas into the top hole (volume: about 1/10th of the total volume between the two windows).
4. seal the top hole (with a chewing gum, wax or similar)
5. stick a long fuze (to ensure you can stay far away enough; at least 20 m) into the lower hole
6. put on protection wear (helmet, protection glasses, shield, gloves, ear plugs). cover behind a wall or inside a building.
7. ensure nobody is in danger (ie. there's nobody within a 20 m radius)
8. light the fuze and watch the blast of the explosion pressing the two glass windows out of the frame

warning: this is for educational purpose only. do not try this unless you really know what you're doing. this is a dangerous procedure which can lead to death.

what you're doing here is a detonating gas reaction:

1 h2 + 0.5 o2 = 1 h2o

don't underestimate the impact, power and bang of the explosion/detonation!!!

oh! and note that the real and fake money might be burnt in the process (low probability). so wait till they put gold coins (don't burn for sure) inside in the next advertising campaign ;)
Wow.

Awesome!

3M recently completed an amazing poster-stunt in Vancouver, Canada. They prepped a bus shelter ad with a 3M product called Scotchshield, a see-through film that you can apply to glass which makes it near bulletproof, and filled the postersite with lots of play money, and 500 real Canadian dollars for good measure. After that they could just sit back and watch the mayhem.....

As passers by did their best to put the Scotchshield to the test, kicking the glass, taking sledgehammers to the glass and going all sorts of crazy over it, the glass withstood the pressures and did not budge. It did not break, it could not be broken. Shame one can't say the same about the aluminum frame which was breached, at that point security guards called a time-out as that was cheating. Canadian local and national news shows reported on all the crazy attempts to get into the poster for the cash, all in all 3M got a lot of press for their money - remember there was only 500 real dollars in there and a single poster site was rented for only one day.

Oh that's an easy one.

Of course it's akin to using a sledgehammer to smashing atoms: the hammer is too big and the force is too weak.

Most of you can probably figure out what that means.

rom here, some says that is only 500 dollars worth of 20s.

If they are 20's, it's a lot more than $500!

This is what $25,000.00 looks like And that's nothing!
