Now that the Yankees have confirmed that both Joe Torre and ARod will be staying...

Losing season? They shared the best record with the mets! They'll make the playoffs again, but anything other than that is a toss up.

Yankees can always get to the playoffs as much as I hate that. They need a forumula to win the penant (sp?).
I imagine the coaching staff needs to think this over a lot as next season is played out.

They will win the AL East again, or at least capture a WC berth.

The key to post season success lies in pitching. We have not had a good pitching rotation since we lost Pettite/Clemens/Wells/Hernandez.

I think the Yankees sign Matzkusa, Zito and either Schmidt or Mussina. After that they have Wang, and RJ as the fifth starter. They should pick up Wright's option and trade him, and try to find some way to dump that bum Carl Pavano. Of course, making these moves will bloat the payroll close to $270 million I'm sure, but who cares?

They should dump a few overpaid players from their lineup to give younger players a chance, and trade for some starters as well as RP. Outside of Rivera, their bullpen is horrible.

I do not undersatnd why they would even think of firing Torre. Arod, I can understand and I think they should trade. However, being a RedSox fan, I think they should fire Torre and keep Arod.😉
