i still find myself switching back and forth, so far i've not used IE7 really just on principle and not wanting to move all my stuff over from firefox, but now i use the windows live system alot and i have been having alot of conflicts with it and ff. my touchpad virtual scrolling works in ie7, and not in FF, and I find IE7 more visually appealing now.

Using both here. FFrc3 for my daily surfing and browing, IE7 for my online classes.

I'm not touching IE7 until it's ready. It wraps itself into your OS and I ain't gonna do that with a beta product.

I just downloaded a portable version of FF RC3 today, but I can't tell much of a difference between it and v1.5.0.7.

Main differences.....on the fly spellchecker and an "X" on each tab to close tab windows. I'm using RC3 and it's been very stable for me.

Yeap. IE is only used for WindowsUpdate anymore, so I haven't even bothered with IE7.

i use IE7 for online banking

but i still prefer FF. the only reason for this is because I can use my wheel button to open up links from my Bookmarks list onto a new tab.

IE7. My reason is as follows:

We use CiscoWorks at work, and no other browser (Maxthon,FF,Avant,Crazybrowser) is able to open CW's links like they should be. They either close them (because it's opening blank windows or something) or it doesn't display properly. IE7 is the only one that works so that's the one I'll use. I'm not bashing FF, but it just doesn't work the way I need it to.

firefox 2.0 RC3 because of my extensions. i cant live without them all, seriously.

though ie7 may look more aestheticly (sp) pleasing, it doesnt have the control/usage of firefox. and ive used firefox for years now.

I rely a lot on Firefox's extensions at work. The Web Developer toolbar is incredibly useful. I also prefer FFs Javascript Console over Microsoft Script Editor just because it's so much less intrusive.

I'd say there's a fair bit of dust up in the air still and it won't really settle until both browsers actually get released in final form. That said, I'm using the latest 1.5.x of firefox and I'm unlikely to switch to anyother product. I do wish I could try out ie7 (no windows machines here), not because I'm likely to use it regularly (unless they incorporate some decent form of adblock :p) but just because it's good to know what's out there.

Opera 9.02 for Windows, Firefox 2.0 RC3 for Linux (the Linux Opera sucks for GNOME). I don't see a logical reason to use IE7 over FF for anything but Windows Update. Maybe the interface (personally I like FF's application-style window better than the document-oriented IE application)? Anything else?

So I don't even really use IE for updating anymore, however there are still many pesky sites out there that only play nice with IE...of course something the likes of IE tab for FireFox is just another reason to keep using FF :p

Still running Firefox 1 something. Might download the new one at home tonight. Hopefully will get permission to install IE7 at work. Apparently some people around here thought the beta was "illegal" to download. :disgust:
