Now that the dreamcast has been cracked, will you be getting one?

I bought mine on 9.9.99 and believe this DC game crackign will only mean higher prices . I just wanna know if any of you now are thinking of picking one up just because you can DL the games.

I wouldn't be worried about rising prices. For one thing, they've only cracked 3 games, and all three of those games can be had for about $20 at bargain bins at electronics stores. Also, the "crack" can easily be overcome by making games over 650MB. The Dreamcast will continue to be both fairly profitable for Sega and affordable for consumers. It's unlikely that full scale DC game piracy will ever come into play, because Sega is the only company that produces GD-ROM Writing devices. A very effective method to control piracy.

PSX 2 on the other hand, has lost $200 for every unit sold, and Sony plans to use high priced hardware and software sales in the U.S. to subsidize loses in Japan.

From what I heard, it was just Dead or Alive 2, Soul Calibur, and Power Stone.

On a side note...is it just me or are most of the games not that good?. Crazy Taxi is an exception and Soul Caliber is great eye candy
