Um sorry dude but all the GT's are like that. All are 1 slot 1 power connector designs.

Also all the GPUs are dead quiet now. 1 slot 2 slot has nothing to do with how loud it is unless the fan has to spin faster.

I would not go so far to say all GPU's (fan) are dead quiet now by no means, not sure why you comment on 1 slot or 2 slot neither? Although 1 slot is by far my preferred (and many others)...

Everyone votes up the GT, hence my question of anyone here have one yet? If so, your thoughts on the card so far?

Volari V8, the card only you have :)

No, seriously, I'll probably wait for the next generation.
IF I had to get one now, I'd get a x800pro VIVO (soft-moddable). No sight of the 6800GTs in my country at the moment :(

cm123, I have a eVGA GT and it's silent. And all GT's only need one molex connector. I really don't know why they couldn't of made the Ultra's just like the GT's. A 6800U recommends a 480watt PSU, while the 6800 GT only needs a 300 watt PSU and can overclock to a Ultras performance if it doesn't have crippled ram. But most if not all GT's come with 2.0 ns ram that can reach 1100 MHz.

Thanks Regs, I have honestly been a Nvidia fan at heart, however my X800 is great. The 6800U we have been building have been a tad loud compared to the X800 at least.

The 6800GT looks great, just hope to see the people who have bought it happy...

My choice: the first card offered by either company to offer near top-of-the-line speed (for this generation) for $200. Until then, my 9800 Pro is plenty ;) .

I choose nothing for now. so long as my 9700pro brings me numbers like this, I'll wait.

Went from a 9800 Pro to a 6800GT just because of the hype and the relative value. I also like the lifetime warranty and 24/7 tech support I get from BFG. It was also actually avaliable at a local retailer as opposed to the mysterious x800xt

Local stores around me seem to be stuck on selling the 5200 & 9600 instock. Online I got my x800, never seen any instock yet in stores here.

This is the first time I remember so many products releasing with so little of the new cards to be found.

I'm still leaning towards nVidia with the 6800GT or 6800U heading my wish list. However, I'm waiting on the X800GT and the Doom 3 benches; if the X800GT snuffs the 6800GT out for a lower price, I'm going ATI this time. If the GT maintains its lead, then it's 6800 time.

Considering Doom 3's graphics and theorized performance, I fully expect a 1600x1200x32 Doom 3 benchmark to separate the men from the children in this generation of graphics cards, so I'll be letting AT and D3 do the deciding for me. :D

It would seem no matter who has the speed crown this time, Nivida is going to sell well with their 6800GT!

The prices each talked of when on release day sure did change it seems, many of the products are still shipping in small amounts at high prices compared to what all the press at release time printed they should be...

I wonder if sales of the GT are that much better than the rest, as like the votes here?

Still seems that there are not that many people here with the GT (or that not many of them posting at least).

I don't have stats to back up this assertion but over on the Hot Deals forums, every time a GT deal shows up the dang card seem to sell out within a matter of hours. All the local stores in So Cal (that's several Fry's, several Best Buys, etc) are also out of stock. Basically, it seems like nvidia can't make enough for the demand.
