If Nintendo's first party games were TRULY free downloads, I'd buy in. Doesn't look like it will be, so no. I'll feel no sadness when nintendo vanishes, it'll just mean their old games will finally be abandonware.

I would have to say yes. No doubtedly it will be the cheapest of the three, the best looking, and will probably have some sweet games (leave it to Nintendo to make the best first party games).

Yep...in red, nonetheless. To go with my snazzy yellow Sumiko turntable (yeah, I'm not much of a vinyl guy, can't bother spending too much on a deck LOL)!

And I saw the rumors this morning, but Nintendo hasn't confirmed the specs yet, have they? I'm sure they're right...just wondering if they made an actual statement.

3 times as powerful is probably a much more realistic estimate for the power of next generation consoles than the numbers Sony and Microsoft are throwing around. Heck, remember how much the GC numbers were eclipsed by ps2 and xbox before all three came out? In the end, you realize that it was all just a bunch of hype that naive people buy into while Nintendo remains relatively honest. I will probably be getting the Nintendo, as they have consistently come out with the best games (gameplay wise) of the three.

Lastly, why would the company posting the greatest profits, second best sales (first if you combine with handhelds), and best game sales to number of console ratio be anywhere near their last mile? If anything, Microsoft should be the first to go for losing the most money, and garnering only a single decent franchise. I'll be getting a ps3 as well.

It comes down to the games...and ease of use....

Although the general grainyness... of PS2 games has made me ill since it came out and why I refused to purchase one until this January when I finally couldn't go without final fantasy any longer.....It sits here and collects dust though....had more fun with the gamecube and for certain games I just feel much more comfortable with a mouse and keyboard than a controller....

I'm sure I will eventually by one...which one will depend on the games....
